Anorexia + Vegetarianism = Lots of Diet Soda
Sure I could eat fruits, nuts, bread and vegetables, but the anorexic in me screams “calories!” So for a well-rounded, low-cal diet, I find myself sticking to a few favorite staples:
1. Diet Dr. Pepper – and lots of it. Of course there’s the aspartame, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate to think about, but we’re all gonna die somehow, right?
2. String cheese – the reduced fat kind. Yes, it has 60 calories and 6 grams of fat, but it’s also my daily serving of dairy.
3. Iced coffee – I add a little soy milk for protein.
4. Chocolate – sometimes a square from a candy bar or a mini peppermint patty, but most often a bag of peanut m&m’s, eaten meticulously without the peanut. It makes the day livable.
5. Prenatal vitamins – because anorexic vegetarians (vegetarian anorexics?) deserve babies too.

I can’t believe someone else eats peanut M&Ms sans peanuts, crazy…
Someone was telling me that taking prenatal vitamins are great even if you’re not planning on getting pregnant. To make your skin and hair nice?
Right now, I’m taking any vitamins I can get.
