Anorexic Recipe of the Week
We have Hana Hey to thank for submitting the following highly disordered but extremely low-cal recipe. We just might have to try this one for our next meal, which should be within the next day or three. She writes:
I love this when I’m craving noodles, and most people just laugh at my quirky eating habits when they see it. It’s not really a recipe.. but it’s also not a combo I’ve ever encountered before.
Low Carb Pasta(less) Dish
1) Put mixed green of your liking in a medium bowl. I like romaine lettuce, spinach leaves, or crunchier types depending on my mood.
2) Add 1/4-1/2 cup of your favorite pasta sauce.
3) Mix and enjoy.
Calories: 50-90, depending.
I suppose you could add mushrooms or cheese or something, but usually just the sauce kills my craving.

One of my faves!!!
I use steamed cauliflower and sometimes zucchini too. My fav. salsa is green pepper & mushroom by prego i think,… lots i mean lots of flavor!
Can I put olives in it?
OLIVES=OLIVE OIL=FAT!
Sorry, freaked a bit on impulse, where’s my control!?
hahaha. I’ll give olives some credit: olive oil is known to be a good fat, some studies suggesting it aids in weight loss, and is very good for you and your heart.
Note: Keyword: FAT
Meant sauce not salsa,
sorry…too much food.
Yeah the sauce I have in my fridge is Chunky Ragu Garden Combination, and boast “MORE than a full serving of VEGGIES” on the label.
80 cals for 1/2 cup, but who needs that much? ha ha
Omg…That is such a good idea!
Yum! This just might work…i like the califlower idea or maybe cooked caggage…? Either way, with no oil, it’s a winner! (except the little amount in the sauce).
you can use tinned tomatos instead of pasta sauce, i have basil flavoured and garlic&onion flavoured and one entire tin is 100cals, of course half a tin is more then enough.
