Anorexic Recipe of the Week
The following appears in What’s Cooking? Recipes to Add Spice to Your Christmas — a recipe book put together by my kindergarten teacher. My submission was called “Christmas French Toast” and I think it makes for an appropriate Anorexic Recipe of the Week:
Take one slice of bread and put it in a pan of oil and fry 4 seconds. Spread one slice of butter on bread. Pour on 1/2 bottle of syryp. It’s finished.
Serves: a lot of people
Um, since when does one slice of bread serve a lot of people? Apparently, my idea of portion sizes hasn’t changed much over the years…

that may be the best thing I’ve read all day
I cannot stop laughing. My boyfriend wants to know what is so funny and I can’t bring myself to explain it. Him: “That’s rude, and it makes you a rude person.”
Ah, I need to save this and look at it later when I’m feeling sad about life/my fat self/the food I’m not allowed to eat.
Thanks for the best post ever.
Your taste for sugar hasn’t changed much either. 1/2 bottle of syrup on one piece of bread is equivalent to your picking the frosting off my cakes, brownies, etc. That’s why I love you.
