Food is Not the Cure

I came THIS close to passing out in front of one of my coworkers on Tuesday. It was quite the scene and the general consensus was that whatever the cause, food was the remedy. I have to admit it was actually kind of nice that people were so concerned, but I wanted to tell them that they were all wrong. The true reason I nearly fainted, as far as I’m concerned anyway, is that I had just learned of Patrick Swayze’s death. And as much as I wanted to say, ”LOOK, PEOPLE. FOOD IS NOT GOING TO BRING THE SWAYZE BACK,” I decided to just let people think I’m malnourished.

Haha … of course they wanted to make you eat. People’s answer to everything, especially in an office environment, no?

Hope youre back to your FAB self soon!

why is food always the answer?! it is the problem. I cried bc of the swayze’s passing :( my favorite movie growing up as a kid was dirty dancing!!! (clearly i missed the whole message at age 5 lol)

Eek, I don’t know the appropriate response: a chuckle or a sorrowful “tut tut” …

It’s much cooler and more professional to be malnourished than to cry over Patrick Swayze.

This is particularly funny to me because at MY workplace, a big, fat, >9000 pound lady was reading an article in People about Patrick Swayze when she tripped over her cankles today. I immediately thought of this post!
